Sponsored by Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, China International Travel Mart 2018 (CITM 2018) will take place from November 16 (Friday) to 18 (Sunday) at E1-E5 Exhibition Halls of Shanghai New International Expo Center. With 2,245 stands and a total exhibition area of 57,500 square meters, the event will attract exhibitors from 107 countries and regions.
Taking place immediately after the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai, CITM 2018 - a major international professional expo - will benefit from the spillover of the former. It is also going to be a major tourism event following the Shanghai Tourism Development Conference convened on September 5. Adopting a more open, innovative and inclusive mindset and adhering to the criterion for “international, professional, marketized, detail-oriented, humanistic” services, Shanghai as the host city will provide newer technologies and better services for the global peers to showcase their brand images and explore business opportunities, and make greater contributions to the development of mutual friendship and cooperation for a win-win outcome.
This year’s event will have the following hallmarks:
In-depth integration of culture and tourism; highly international; more marketized; highly specialized; and a rich variety of parallel activities.

Since it was founded in 1998, China International Travel Mart has coverage a journey of 20 years along with the growth of China’s tourism industry. With the joint efforts from all sides, CITM has grown into the largest and most influential tourism fair in the Asia-Pacific region, serving as an important platform to showcase the “Beautiful China” and create opportunities for domestic and international tourism cooperation.
